For the last 100th time
« on: March 09, 2025, 12:07:45 pm »

Anybody going anywhere on a ride that would ride with me. I’ve got my own rig , own money. Might have a seasoned horse - might have a green horse. Prefer at least 1-2-3 weeks. Prefer organized. As I can’t cook.

I am sorry, Carol, but we are almost opposite in the ways we ride. I have to be gluten-free, and I prefer to only eat organic or locally grown foods. So I only cook my own. I also have a business even though I’m retired, and I have six grandkids who live next-door and my help to drive them to activities is required. I do push things aside for a one week ride once a year but otherwise I just go for a few days and very nearby so I don’t have to drive much. I do not like big groups or organized rides so I avoid them at all cost.

But I do hope that you find a group you can go with.

I'm sorry you are not having any luck finding a riding partner.  I have not ridden in several years due to life, job, caring for my mom before she passed and an injury that limits my ability to be in the saddle more than 20 or 30 min due to pain.  I just sold my LQ trailer as it has been sitting unused.  Best wishes and I hope you are not limiting your search to this board alone.  My best friend and trail buddy who I rode with for 25 yrs passed away in 2018 so I know how hard it is when you don't have someone to share that activity with.
