Or teeth.  Cindy couldn't get Clyde's rear end to release when she worked on him.  I had Clyde's teeth done a few months ago at the rehabilitation hospital shortly before he went to riding rehab.  Last week an equine dentist was out for some of the horses and I asked to have Richard look at Clyde.  His mouth was a hot mess.  Within a week of having his teeth done, the lump on his neck is gone, the bottom 6-8" of his mane that was on the left side of his neck is now on the right side, his back has changed tremendously and both his saddles needed to be readjusted, he is more energetic and he now gaits under saddle - so far a running walk and a rack.

Sorry I haven't responded I just saw this thread. We returned Missy to her owner today. Neither Judy or I need to take on a project horse. It's a shame because I do believe if she didn't have the health issues, whatever they are, she would be a super horse. My friend that's an equine vet and has been Missy's vet for most of her life will be checking her out. Our differential list includes dental, ulcers, persistent ovarian follicle and kissing spine. I checked her back again today and she still showed moderate pain. She also was acting like she's in heat again. I'm not sure how Marla plans to proceed but I know she'll figure it out and she'll let me know what she finds. Missy's owner is a super nice lady and she loves her horse. She 's been so sick she hasn't been able to pay attention to Missy and really no one would have known there's a problem unless they tried to ride her. It's funny. I had this strong feeling that I needed to get this little horse even though the last thing I need is another horse! When Judy expressed an interest I thought it was going to be a great deal. Well it didn't turn out the way I thought it would but now I wonder if we were supposed to get her so we could discover she has something causing her pain that may have been missed if someone else had gotten her. Who knows. Anyway Marla will get her fixed up and her owner assures me the she'll be able to find Missy a good home.
