Royal King Long Distance Saddle, Stateline Tack???
« on: August 25, 2022, 05:27:52 pm »

At least sounds like it meets my criteria with center rigging, lightweight, short back for Speedy.

Is anyone familiar with or have experience with this saddle
Any experience with Stateline Tack on returns if it is not suitable? Are stirrups.short enough for.short.female?

Thanks, Claudiq. One reviewer said this was a treelessmsaddle.bu5 another said it was too narrow to fit her horse. I thiught abtreeless.saddle flexed.with the horse's shape.

Their long distance saddle I found isn't treeless.
Do you have a link to the one you ate looking at?
Maybe it's a flex tree ?

"If a saddles does not fit the horse or rider the saddle must be returned unused. Please note that saddle returns are subject to our 10% restocking and handling fee. When fitting a saddle for your horse use a clean blanket or towel before placing on your horse’s back. We do not accept returns on used saddles."
I'd be REAL apprehensive about buying a saddle online w/ that kind of return policy, especially since it sounds like your horse has a history of being hard to fit.

ETA, I stopped by to look @ the saddle description.  Sounds like it's built over a rigid tree, and claims to be "full quarter horse bars", but at least one reviewer says it is VERY narrow.

Way back in the day, I used to shop from Stateline Tack via their catalog (before online shopping was a thing), and something I realized really quickly is that almost anything leather from Stateline wasn't typically very good quality.

Y3s, that is it. Is it a  enterfire rigging ? 8 called 3 different sellers. They said they would find out, call back. I'm still waiting. One r3viewer said it was.

I’m wondering if this is a closeout.  I had a contract with JT International who distributes these saddles and it’s not on there website anymore?   And everywhere only one size is available, this saddle used to be available in different seat sizes at least…
Royal King is made in India.

http://www.jtidist.com/

This saddle is full quarter horse and 8 inch gullet….is your horse wide ?  It does say adjustable rigging, I’m not sure exactly what that means

Do you have any tack shops near you ? do a wither tracing and that would help you if you have a local place.   You can go on Debras Crest Ridge Saddle site and she shows you how to measure.

Each place selling this saddle has the exact same wording. I assume they copies it from the original ad on JT International.

Don't know what price range you're looking at but Specialized Saddles will custom make the saddle to fit your horse's back as well as the rider seat and leg length.  I bought one and was very pleased with it.  They have a good return policy -- like try it for 10 days thing.  They also have loaners you can try out.  The way their rigging is done holds the saddle down in front and rear.  Look at them on-line.  When I quit riding they also bought the saddle back to put in their used section.  The saddle is adjustable with the use of velcro shims.  Synergist will also make the tree to fit the horse.  Both these companies have lightweight and endurance models.  They are expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I ordered a Specialized saddle for Clyde.  He is currently doing postural rehabilitation preparation for under saddle work.  I know his back will change a lot as his work increases, if indeed he holds up to work.  Previously I had a Specialized for Strider that could have been adjusted for Clyde if I still had it.  However, I kept thinking Strider's problem was saddle fit and kept buying him new saddles.
