Once Again, At A Loss!
« on: March 14, 2020, 11:41:45 pm »

An associate of a trainer somewhat close to our area talked us into letting her fellow train our horses instead of selling them. She had two references contact us and they sung his praises. If it would work out, it sounded like a better solution than selling. With their insulin resistance, it would be very hard to sell and be assured they would receive all the care and sups we have given them to keep them healthy. Moonshine now looks fabulous and is full of vim and energy. Speedy still needs to drop a lot of weight. He doesn't have the symptoms Moonshine had in the beginning but we are trying to prevent it from happening. We changed vets and got the T4 test and his reading was 1.7.  He is turning into a little potbellied pig. He's slick and manages to get out of 2 different styles of grazing muzzles we have bought him. We are very attached so the trainer seemed an answer. Lady keeps saying he will call us with a date this month but nothing! She keeps promising he will call but doesn't. Tonight's response from her, he wants to talk to us about our horse"who can't eat grass", don't think I posed it to her quite that way, but again, she said he wants to talk to us about it. Well I'm waiting!! Again, no call.  So disappointed that this possibility also seems to be going downhill.

I just don't have the patience. the time or the will to work with behavior challenges in horses as in my younger days. I wish people would keep their promises.  Prayers for a solution appreciated.
