Hot fingers ski gloves
« on: February 11, 2019, 04:34:57 pm »

Sigh....another favorite that is now made with too cheap materials.

Fit is great, warmth is great, but my pair bought new in late October is not holding up.  In the past, I got at least two winters out of each pair, these are shredding in just a few months.

Holes in the plastic palm material re getting bigger, so I tried shoe goo.  We will see if that helps.  I also order a pair of snow boarding gloves with a leather palm.  We will see if that works better, and even if they fit.  Just because it says women’s small, may not mean a perfect fit.

I passed on Hotfingers gloves at Dicks a couple weeks ago because I was unimpressed with how they were made. For years, those were my go-to gloves.

I hope the leather palm has some grip. I hate when a fully-loaded muck fork spins in my hands and spills because my gloves are slippery.

Just adding to the thread -- I just saw someone online say they were really happy in their -30 degree weather with the Ninja Ice Gloves  https://www.fullsource.com/memphis-gloves-n9690m/?fbclid=IwAR3PnCPOb0yUuzEbXatSj7PSxMNwvuk02YckqJPv7X9m66c3ZtCyYYJkKIY

Don’t know about shoe goo.  But Goop has held my  biothane stirrup leathers for at least 15-20

I've seen those Ninja gloves at our local farm store, probably had a pair around once. Their selling feature is that they keep your hands dry and don't get stiff in the cold. They're uninsulated, so there's no way they'd keep my hands warm for the length of time it takes me to do barn chores.

They’re only 5.00
So might be worth trying. You could always wear glove liners.

Carol....believe me, in a minus 58 windchill, that would never be the answer!
