Fall MFT Colt?
« on: December 09, 2013, 12:23:50 am »

Who's been waiting for pictures of new babies?   Instead of pictures, how about a video!
My new(er) mare Musette (Eliminators Kool Kate) foaled this black stud colt by "Gone N Dun It"  9/30/13 (not 9/31/13 as said in the video... I was a bit excited that day.)  I also have a video from his first week.  I'm now working on a video with 1-2month clips.  This guy is spunky and gaits like a little train chugging around the turn out.  We call him the "pickle" because he moves like a pickle on wheels when he's not pretending to win the Kentucky Derby.  His pending registered name is "The Dark Knight" and he is also for sale to the right home.

He is adorable!  Wow your mare is incredibly patient, even when he was between her back legs, she took it in stride.

What are you going to do with him?  Keep, sell or have you decided?

Congrats on a heathy foal!  Love his color too.  :-)

I am selling him.  I'm asking $1000 until weaning, $1500 after weaning and the price will go up as I continue to work with him.   If he was a filly or grulla (preferable both) he would have had a life time home.   As it is, I prefer mares.  His half sister won Open Reserve World Champion Foal this year.  His maternal half brother is the Chocolatier (http://heavensgaitfoxtrotter.com/dove.htm) (same dam).  He comes from good bloodlines, has a great fox trot (when he's not being a race car driver) and has a sound mind.  He's also very brave.  I can see this guy being a competitive trail horse, endurance prospect, versatility etc.  I don't think he would be a good performance horse at this point.  He strikes me has the type of horse who likes a challenge.   He could be stallion prospect, but he has to prove himself.   He is adorable, I love playing with him and I'm not in any hurry to sell him.  It has to be the right home.
