So very sorry. So hard to watch these best friends and buddies grow old so quickly. You really tried and went far beyond the extra mile. He's probably bragging how lucky he was to have you in Heaven.

Stephanie this is very hard. I am sorry for your loss. One year ago I had to let go of my Star. I planted a pink dogwood tree on his gravesite. The tree is budding out now! It gives me pleasure to tend to the young tree. I think of Star every time I go there. Maybe you would find something like this comforting.

I wish I could. Unfortunately I cannot plant anything on his gravesite due to its location.

How heartbreaking. I feel for you. I have an almost-32 year old gelding. He's fine now but not looking forward to the day he passes away.
