I know this winter most of our storms have come up the coast.  We have another one headed in here tomorrow night into Tues (they think) what scares me is the way, all of a sudden, they can't tell us where the rain/snow lines so for the 3rd storm it could be all rain or lots of snow.  The jet streams are dropping further south that usual and then heading north.

TEN days until Spring

I'm pretty sure here in NC that our rain today and cold winds are supposedly coming from the North.... I can't say I paid much attention when I was younger and I lived in different places but I keep hearing that weather patterns have changed.

I just watched the news and we are being told to expect up to 18 inches of snow with this next storm with high winds and higher wind gusts.  Oh joy.
At the moment bits and pieces across the south are floating around and will end up off the coast of the Carolinas then the real fun begins about this time (10 pm or so) tomorrow night and might not be out of here until Wed morning at some point.  So, once again, everyone please stay safe.
I'm off to bed this time change just messes with me a lot.

Oh, yuck! I can't believe you're going through this again. We're going to get it too, but probably only about 8", without a horrible storm involved.

And I hear you about the time change. I've been awake since before 4:00 am. You would think it would make me sleep late, but messed up is exactly what the time change does! Oh, that we could just leave our clocks right where they are!

There is not enough coffee in the world to make me deal with snow and time change in the same day!

We're in the 1-3" band of the next storm, thank goodness.  My back is still sore from the last storm!

I saw a dusting of snow this morning while the Lexington, KY area saw up to 10-1/2"!

It's going down to below freezing for the next three nights but never fear ---- it's supposed to be 70 by Sunday:(.

I don't see that as a good thing because I don't think we are done with winter,  these wild temperature swings are not good for the crops, and this is the kind of stuff colic are made of :-X

cold here in nc - just at freezing all day - hard rain all morning and called for snow but I didn't see any.  There was an inch or better a few miles north of me.

Hello All,

Woke up to heavy snow coming down sideways.  They are saying 12-18 inches.  It started out as rain as they said it would.  The State of RI is shut down Boston also.  No Amtrak from NYC into Boston.  Maine is going to get hit hard also.  Stay tuned, I'll keep you all posted.

The gov of RI just stopped ALL big rigs on the roads in RI due to the winds.
Conditions are getting worse I am hopeful this will be fast moving .  150K out of power in Mass.  Not sure here in RI but I know it's out in the Westerly area.

6 pm still snowing  parts of northern RI 20 - 24 inches.  At one point this afternoon the whole state of RI was under blizzard conditions.  Should be out of here about 8tonight  One can hope.

The good thing about this is it is March and it will not stick around for long.
