my mom had great success with compression gloves.  She liked the ones with the finger tips missing - I think she got them at walgreens online.   She wore them pretty much all the time.  I hear (no experience) that drinking more water can help with joints.

For me, turmeric has helped my thumb joints immensely.  But not 100%, only 90%.

When I take the capsules, it is two per day.  Or 1 tsp of the Golden paste in hot milk.

Thanks, Kysa. I will double my pill dosage. Tea or paste sounds like.porta extra work so will try pills first. Already taking Potts.other stuff door my other arthritis and has helped tremendously except for.fingers. Will resort.to paste or tea if doubling pills doesn't do
 it.

I have mild arthritis in the joints of my middle fingers.  Rubbing Aspercreme on them seems to help.  Won't help the locking fingers though.  I have one that locks and it is very painful.

I use EMU oil and compression gloves with great results.  I don't like using anything with Pepper Oil on my hands for many reasons.  lol

I try to stay away from sugar and refined carbohydrates. Can always tell when I have had too much because then the arthritis in my hands flares up.

Clicking and locking finger joints is probably Trigger Finger. My husband had this happen with his middle finger. Google "trigger finger" and read about it. The Mayo Clinic site has a  nice description.  That may be what you have as it also can happen in the thumb joints. He visited a hand specialist/orthopedic doctor. He gave him a shot of something in the joint.

I have been drinking turmeric tea every day for several months and it seems to be an effective (and pleasant) way to take turmeric. I drink Numi and Republic of Tea brands. I avoid any of the ones with licorice root because I dislike the slick feel in my mouth. I can get these at my grocery store but they're also available at Amazon and Vitacost.

My favorite. And it does include pepper so you absorb the turmeric.

Cutting back and/or eliminating sugar makes a big difference for me and it’s noticeable within a day of restricting intake.

Surprising discovery, just plain ol' 100% coconut oil is a pretty impressive pain relievers. Worked much better for our hands than the Aspercreme, rubbing it into hands. Helped the stiffness/arthritis. However, the locking thumb only helps a.little. Seemed to free up one but not the other, at least not.yet.
