Obstacle event
« on: October 04, 2017, 07:55:51 am »

Well I wanted to share some pictures of ZU and his first obstacle event !  mine also.  But I'm having some issues resizing the pictures  :-(

He got SECOND PLACE.... ok, ok, out of the 16 people scheduled to show there were only 3 and one was horse in hand that didn't like any of the obstacles  :-)

ZU didn't refuse a single obstacle - he still isn't straight in his backing or some of his sidepasses are not graceful and well, he is a bit of a monster wanting to taste every obstacle ... he wouldn't stop ringing the bell at one point  :-)

That sounds like a blast!  Good job on the second place.

I did an obstacle clinic with Strider and we both loved it!  Got a giggle out of your horse ringing the bell  :)

OH he was fun.... he's such a laid back horse (every once in awhile he gets a wild hair but there's no real energy behind it).   The volunteers did not appear to have horse experience.  One slowly came over to ZU with his hand out toward his nose and the others were egging him on saying "he won't bite", he won't bite  and I said, ...yes, yes he does.   Startled the heck out of the volunteer as he was just about to touch his nose and he scrambled backwards.   I had to laugh...told the v that ZU nibbles but if you're not careful he gets skin.   It was just funny.  Poor guy.
And the people at the tent were trying hard not to laugh as ZU tried to get a piece of the tent.   :-)
