I have a metro vac-n-blo. Bought it on sale at State Line Tack (the original store in New Hampshire)...I'm guessing about 1991. Still works great. I don't use the disposable bags, I just empty the cloth bag . I bought it when I was breeding Fjords, and owned anywhere from 4-8. It has been a Godsend, and still is. Best grooming tool ever!!

Sullivans Air Express.   I have one of these and if it ever breaks I will get on the next day.

I need a horse vacuum really bad! I want to ride on Saturday but my horse is a dirty mess and it's still pretty cool to be bathing him...but gosh they are expensive!

The 2 things that have made the biggest difference in our work load are the automatic waterer and the standing stalls.  Would be hard to chose one, but if I HAD to, it'd be the standing stalls, for safety reasons.  But never dragging a hose around is priceless.

stablemind, I use a shop vac we bought from Lowes.  It really was for the shop but I kept forgetting to take it back.

It's a good sized one and its on the noisy side but the horses are fine with it.

I have always been able to vacuum the faces of the Walking Horses but my little Arab was sure the face eating dragon lived in that brush so I never pushed the issue with him.

As far as a splurge --- at my age and with a new bit of arthritis always flaring up, my splurge would be full time help to clean the stalls --- first I would have to find someone willing to get dirt under their fingernails:)
