2015 Standardbred World Show
« on: October 20, 2015, 04:03:31 am »

We just wrapped up the 2015 Standardbred World Show.  We had over 900 entries (an entry is a horse/rider entered in a class).  This is up from just over 650 last year.
The quality of the horses and skill of the riders is improving every year.  The judges all commented that they were very impressed by what was presented this year.
The show went long every day as the classes were and tough to judge!  Lat year we had just about 20 entries in our dressage division' this year we had close to 90!  (next year - 2 dressage rings!)

We had entries from 9 states and the province of Ontario..and had 2 overseas entries..One from Israel and a young lady from Africa visiting her grandparents here in the States!

As for how Match did...

Match came home with the 2015 Standardbred Warhorse World Championship (his third in three years) and the 2015 Standardbred In-Hand Reserve Championship

Ribbon recap:
7 Blue Ribbons
3 Red Ribbons
8 Third Place Finishes
2 Fourth Place Finishes
1 Fifth Place Finishes
1 Sixth Place Finishes
2 Seventh Place Finishes

I think we place in every class but trail..didn't like the gate and doesn't side-pass.

I had a young lady riding him in the youth division ..she did great!

Match is 17 now and not sure how many more years we can compete as this level...We will see!

A HUGE congratulations to all.  Especially you and Match!!!

One of these years I really want to get out there.  Maybe next year as we are done chasing points here in New England.  LOL

This is AllAmerican Legacy - THE most decorated Standardbred ever in the show ring (he didn't race...)
The photo is missing 8 of his Blue Ribbons - he took first in 16 classes out of the 42, Second in 7, and Third in 6.
Big Al had 6 different rider/handlers/drivers during the show.
Overall he placed in 32 of the 42 classes...he is a machine.  At the end of the show he appeared as fresh as he did Day 1.
