I think that is why we never went there before, because everyone with us likes to have something to drink around the campfire or at least at the end of the day.  I guess we could work out to hide it some how.   I can understand that they don't want to see people falling down drunk or throwing their bottles and cans around.  We will have to discuss it for a trip next year.

It really isn't an issue. Most of the campers have a bottle of something. They are not out looking for it.

It's probably also a liability thing... if they state no alcohol it's easier for them to not be held responsible if drinking is involved.

We don't drink on the trail either and hate to see where people through their cans and bottles along the trail after they drink them.  I don't see anything wrong with drinking as long as they don't get over stupid about it or throw their bottles and cans along the trail.
